Good Natured and its mother company Angus Soft Fruits are very much engaged in charities.
Every country in which we have an office we chose a (local) charity to support this year.
For our office in Ridderkerk in The Netherlands the chosen charity is the ‘Sophia Kinderziekenhuis’
‘Sophia Kinderziekenhuis’ is a children’s hospital where children with a (life threatening) disease are being treated.
The charity “Sporten voor Sophia’ is active in raising money and awareness for the hospital and always by an event that revolves around sports. Last weekend (June 18 and 19) it was time for some spinning!!
In 2 days, 1000 people in total have been spinning (cycling) in timeslots of 2,5 hours at a time to raise money for a new center in the hospital. This new center is specially to provide the opportunity and space to play (team)sports. Physical exercise and having contact with others in a lot of cases helps recovery. This center will facilitate this.
What a great cause!
We at Good Natured are very pro a healthy diet and lifestyle so we really relate to this initiative!
Spinning for 2.5 hours is very heavy and demands a lot of your body. Eating blueberries are a great way to give your body the required vitamins and nutrients it needs especially during/after exercise. That’s why we didn’t have to think to long to decide how we would help this charity.
Every single one of those 1000 spinner received a shaker filled with 250 grams of our delicious and nutritious blueberries while they were doing their very best to raise as much money as they could!
They were a great success, and everyone started snacking on them right away!
Glad we could do something to help these heroes!
The event ended up raising € 237.157,00
We are looking forward to a new event for ‘Sophia Kinderziekenhuis’!
